Roles, invitations and the workspace cap

Who can do what in a workspace, how a teammate gets in, how many people a workspace holds, and why each person has one workspace.

One workspace is one brand

Every brand gets its own workspace: its own connections, data, reports and members. A plan pays for a workspace; the people in it are not counted.

Each person has one workspace — during the trial, on Free and on Standard. Your 14-day Standard trial belongs to you and starts when you finish your workspace. Once a Standard workspace is paid, its owner can add more workspaces, each a Standard workspace at $19 a month ($14 a month quarterly, $11 a month yearly): ask from that workspace's Settings → Plan & billing → Add a workspace, and it is created once the transfer lands.

Roles

  • Owner: everything — including the three things that cost someone else access or money: remove a teammate, change the plan, delete the workspace.
  • Admin (strategist): everything except those three.
  • Member (viewer): read everything; change nothing.

The role a teammate holds in the console is the same role the API enforces — there is one permission set, not two.

Invite a teammate

  1. Open Settings → Members.
  2. Enter the teammate's email and pick a role.
  3. They receive an email with a link. The link expires after 14 days and works only for the address it was sent to — forwarding it to someone else does nothing.
  4. If they have no account yet, the accept page offers sign-up first and brings them back to the invitation.

Inviting by email is a Standard feature, and the trial is Standard. A Standard workspace holds its owner and up to five teammates. On Free the control is visible with a Standard tag so you can see what the plan adds; the server checks the plan and the count again when an invitation is sent and when it is accepted.

Remove a teammate

Only the owner can remove a member. Removing someone ends their access immediately; it does not delete anything they created.

Pending invitations

Sent invitations are listed under Members until they are accepted or expire. You can resend or revoke one at any time. A pending invitation holds a place among the five until it is accepted, revoked or expires.

When a workspace moves to Free

Its members stay and see what Free shows. No new invitation goes out until the workspace is on Standard again.
